This guide will outline each step of the equipment process, from receiving equipment to returning equipment once an employee has left the company.

Bestbuy Process for Receiving Equipment

  1. You will receive a box the week prior to an employee starting that will have the name of the employee on the shipping label. This box contains a laptop, monitor, headset and mouse for the employee.
  2. You will then give the entire box to the employee, rather than giving out each piece of equipment.

Bestbuy Process for Terminated and Declined positions

  1. In the event that an employee is terminated or declining their position, HR will notify IT and on a biweekly basis, boxes with return labels will be sent to regional offices with the employee’s name.
  2. When these boxes are received, place the laptop only into the box with the appropriate name to be returned to Bestbuy.
  3. Most offices have frequent UPS deliveries, and they will pick up the box to be returned. If your office does not receive frequent UPS deliveries, you will need to take this box to a UPS store of drop off location to be returned.

Verizon Process for Receiving Equipment

1. You will receive a small box containing the employee’s phone, phone case, block and charger, if there are to receive a Jetpack, this will be inside this box as well. Inside the box, on a sheet of paper at the very bottom, there will be employee information directing you on which phone they are to receive. As an extra step of verification, please confirm that the IMEI on the sheet paper aligns with the IMEI on the box of the phone. This information is on the bottom left hand side of the back of the box, typically it will be the last barcode labeled as IMEI/IMEID.

Verizon Process for Returning Equipment

1. Verizon equipment differs from Bestbuy, as it only needs to be returned to one of our regional offices. You will only be returning the phones and jetpacks. The best way to bring these back is through Partners, or the SCRX Home RX return totes.
