Laptop Setup Guide

 

  1. Turn on the Laptop and begin the Windows Setup Process
  2. You’ll continue until you get to the Account Screen.
    1. Select Set up For an Organization
    2. Enter your Work Email Address and Work Email Password

        3. Your laptop will begin setting up for work. Please note this will take about 30 – 60 mins roughly. If you see a button that says “Continue Anyways”, you may click on this and it’ll do a lot of setup behind the scenes.

        4. Once the Account Setup is complete, you’ll setup the Windows Hello to use your face to sign in and then setup a 6 Digit Pin Number. Please note, you’ll have multiple ways to sign into your laptop. Facial Recognition, the 6 digit Pin, and your Work Email Password.

        5. You’ll be redirected to the Windows Desktop.

Windows Updates

You’ll want to go to Start Menu>Settings>Update & Security and select Check Updates. This will begin downloading Windows Updates for your computer. The picture below is for Windows 10 Computer. Windows 11 may look different but it follows the same steps.

  2. You may have to do this 2-3 times after each check until it says “You’re up to date”.

All your Links to various websites will be Found in the Start Menu now. Our new Default Browser is Microsoft Edge (The Blue and Green Wave Icon).

 

Company Portal Setup

  1. Open the Company Portal from the Start Menu
  2. Select the Category corresponding with your Job. SCHC Laptop will probably be the Default Category to choose.
  3. Go to Settings (Gear Icon) in the bottom left corner. You’ll hit Sync to begin syncing with our systems to push out Apps to the Device.
