DMO is pushed out to Laptop/Surface Devices from the IT Department. DMO will auto install onto your device once IT gets confirmation to push it out. It will take a few minutes to push out but to help, follow the instructions to make sure your device is synced with our Intune System.
Open your Start Menu and go to the Company Portal App. If it prompts you to sign in, please do so.
Go to Settings in the bottom Left Hand Corner and hit the Sync button. This will take a few minutes but you may begin to see items push out that were missing on your device.
Once its installed you’ll open it in your Start Menu or on your Desktop. It’ll prompt you to sign in using your Work Email credentials. The next screen will be this:
The Microphone section will default to your Laptop/Surface Microphone and keep that selected. We will change the microphone later. You can hit the checkbox to Always use when logging on if you like.
The DMO Program will now be running you will see the Blue Microphone Icon. This means DMO is not recording. When you hit the Microphone Icon and to goes Green, DMO is now recording. We are now going to click on the DMO Logo I order to see the Menu Options.
Click on Microphone and then select PowerMic Mobile. The Microphone Icon will turn Orange and waiting to be synced to the PowerMic Mobile App. Now we can go to your phone to set up this App.
PowerMic Mobile App
This app allows your Phone to act as the Microphone for DMO. It is important to remember, both the DMO and PowerMic Mobile programs require your Work Email Address and Password to sync with each other. If you reset your Password, you may be prompted to re-sign into these for them to work. Begin the steps Below:
Click on this Link to open the Configuration Page. PowerMic Mobile Configuration (nuance.com). You will click on the link at the bottom titled iOS to sync the App on your iPhone device.
The PowerMic Mobile App will open and welcome you. Press Start and you will see Profile 1 is created. Your Username will be your Work Email Address. After you enter it, hit Login. It may prompt you to sign in again with your credentials.
Once the App syncs with your computer, you will see the App has the red Mic button and you are ready to record in DMO.
Recording
When it is paired with a target, PowerMic Mobile displays the recording screen:
To start recording, tap the microphone button and speak. The button indicates that
recording is active:
To stop recording, tap the microphone button again.
You can only start and stop recording via your mobile device. The PowerMic Mobile icon in
your desktop application indicates if recording is on or off but does not start or stop
recording.
Button controls
Other buttons on the recording screen correspond to buttons on the physical Nuance PowerMic device:
Receiving a call while recording
iOS devices: When the device receives an incoming call, the microphone is turned off and
PowerMic Mobile is not usable until you either decline the call or accept it and complete it.
This behavior is standard for iOS apps and is defined by the operating system. To work around
this, enable Do Not Disturb via the iOS settings. This prevents all incoming calls and
notifications.
