How to Setup Avigilon Alta Open

Work Device

Anyone with a Work Device provided by IT will have the App pushed out to their phones. If the app is not present, you will need to do a Company Portal Sync.

- Open the Company Portal app and sign in

- Tap on Devices at the bottom of the screen and tap on your Phone

- Tap on "Check Status" and this will begin syncing with our Intune System.

After about 5-10 mins, the sync should finish and apps will updated and new apps pushed out.

Personal Device

Anyone with a Personal device, you will need to download the app from your App store. The links below will direct you to the app:

Setup the App

Please open the app and enter your Work Email address. You'll be prompted to open your Email App to see the Activation email in your Inbox, "[External] Activate your mobile key for LTCHS Columbia, SC" .

Go to Step 2 and tap on the button "Set up on Phone". This will begin setting up your Alta Open and open the App for you. Pop up boxes will appear:

- Hit Allow for "Detect Bluetooth Readers"

- Hit Allow to "Set up location permissions to unlock while using the phone".

- OPTIONAL: Hit Allow to "Set location permissions to allow all the time to enable wave to unlock (recommended)" This will allow the app to run in the background and you can wave at the reader to unlock the door as long as you have your phone on you. With this option turned On, it may increase battery drain on your device. You can turn this option On/Off in the App Permission section of the Menu.

If you haven't gotten the Email Invitation or don't have the app, please fill out the Access Request Form when submitting a Ticket. Once the Ticket is completed, IT will notify you that the Openpath App is pushing out to your Work phone device. If you have a Personal device, please go to your App store and download the Openpath app. If the App is not on your App Store, please send a screenshot on your phone of the App not on your Store and they will look to provide an alternate access.
